My sister and BIL are going out of town for 5 days, and have asked my husband and me to watch her kids while they are gone. We don’t have kids and I have spent the night with my niece and nephew before but my husband has no idea what to do with kids longer than a few hours. I’m a horrible cook and we either eat out or grab takeout a lot. My husband and I like to eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant down the street from us on Friday nights but I have no idea how to keep my niece and nephew entertained for that long. The last thing I want is for the littles to start screaming or screaming and crying at the restaurant. I’m currently trying to convince my husband to have kids and I want this to be an easy experience.
Any help or guidance is appreciated!

Sounds like this is going to be a fun weekend and I know your sister and brother-in-law will greatly appreciate you and your husband for taking the kids! They obviously trust you if they're leaving their kids with you so you're already one step ahead.
As for keeping them entertained, I would swing by the dollar store or Amazon some coloring books and crayons. If they lose interest in the coloring book, then color with them! Go against the grain and color something in the oddest colors you can think of. Just try your best to engage them in something fun and light-hearted. It will increase your bond with them and then you can always hang the art on your refrigerator or something.
Have so much fun!
