I am a pre diabetic. Being a working mom of two kids, managing job, home chores and kids’ studies, I feel my own self comes at the end of priority list. I mostly cook at home and also do meal prepping. How can I plans family meals, where I can avoid sugars and refined grains, without depriving my kids of essential nutrients?

Try following a Paleo diet plan, a natural way of eating with no refined sugar, low carb, and no grain. There are tons of cookbooks and recipes online for this healthy eating strategy. By just typing in Paleo diet dinner, foods, snacks, desserts, etc., you can easily find whatever you are searching for at the moment. Almost any meal can be adapted to fit the Paleo diet once you get the hang of it.
Since you are on a doctor-prescribed nutritional plan, seek the advice of your physician before instituting any new ideas to keep you and your little one healthy. Congratulations, and wishing you the best in your new way of eating.
