My doctor has told me that I have a condition known as PUPPP rash. It is an insanely itchy rash covering my stomach, legs and arms. It is seriously driving me crazy and the doctor has said they only way to get rid of it is through the delivery of my baby. I am still only 36 weeks along but am seriously considering an induction. My skin is getting raw from scratching and none of the creams I have tried have helped at all.
Has anyone else had this condition? How did you treat it? Is an induction for this reason selfish?

I had this too and it was HORRIBLE!!! The itching drove me insane and made the last weeks of my pregnancy extremely uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the solution for me was an induction at 38 weeks when i couldn't bare it any longer and the doctor was happy to deliver my baby.
The things that the doctor recommended for me included:
Taking oatmeal baths and cool baths or showers - avoid heat.
Applying fragrance-free moisturizer.
Wearing light-weight, cotton clothes.
Use cold compresses on your bumps or rash.
These things certainly helped for a while - especially the cold baths and compresses. Best of luck and I hope these remedies help you continue the pregnancy for as long as possible but please don't feel guilty if induction becomes necessary.
Best of luck!
