We love camping over summer in Australia (December-Feb) and although can be a lot of work, is such a lovely way to switch off the working mind into another head space. We bring all the blow up floaty toys, beach toys, bikes, rollerskates and surfboards to cater for all areas that we explore when we head down south. We also bring our metal detector for exploring older historical sites as day trips when we head off camping. Its always such a great time of year.

During summer, we see to it to visit my mother-in-law as much as possible. She lives an hour away via plane. The pandemic stopped us from visiting so we needs to make it up for the lost times.
Although there is a lot of places to visit here in the Philippines, we'd rather visit my husband's hometown so our kids can visit relatives and they'll be exposed to the dialect and of course, they'll know their dad more by visiting places close to his heart.

We love to go camping. We didn't do it last year because our youngest was a newborn, but looking forward to doing it again this year. I like making different kinds of food while camping and we love checking out new spots in the Northeast USA.
I try to step back and soak up little things with my kids. For example, today I took the big kids over to a soccer field and we just kicked a ball around for a few hours. It was great! There were no screens or toys to distract us, just us and the sunshine. I think it's the little moments like that that make summer amazing.
