What is your favorite natural sunscreen?
< 1 min read
There are a ton of different natural sunscreen options out there. Which ones are your favorite? I have a 1-year-old and two very active boys that are 5 and 7. I’m looking for something that’s easy to put on, won’t irritate their eyes, and hopefully will stay on for a while during lots of swimming and activity. ![]() |

We have used MooGoo natural suncream SPF40 since my little one was 1 years old. It seems thick without the grease and has been effective. There are also some really good youtube videos of how to make your own if you are keen! Using essential oils, natural products and a zinc oxide powder base.

With summer just around the corner, this is a great question!
I have always been leary of sunscreens, those chemical-based products which absorb the harmful rays of the sun, instead of actively block them. So I think it's great that you are thinking of the benefits a more natural, mineral-based product for sun protection for your kiddos.
We love the convenience, and the price, of the sunscreen spray from Bare Republic. It's so easy to apply, does not feel greasy at all, washes off clean, and provides 50SPF.
There's also the Pure and Simple lotion from Coppertone. It also provides a 50SPF, and has an added moisturizering benefit to keep your skin hydrated while in the sun.
My absolute favorite sunblock product for my face is Neutrogena's Pure Zinc lotion. It is non-clogging, feels clean when applied, and does not irritate my eye sensitivities.
What I like about all of these is they do not have that strong sunblock scent that everyone has come to recognize. All of them have a fresh, light fragrance.
Always remember to apply, apply, apply!!!
